When I first picked up a camera and realized this is what I wanted to do, I was on my honeymoon. My wife encouraged me to take a photo class not knowing we’d be having the "honey, I’m changing my major to photojournalism" conversation in only a few weeks.
I graduated college with high hopes of traveling the world with my camera and had no desire to be a wedding photographer. It seemed boring, lame, and very…floral. The third wedding I shot, I began to see that my view of this profession was based on terrible photography (Sorry, it’s true). You know the kind; you may remember it from a time called "the eighties" with it’s puffy sleeves and mullets (I know, I’m cringing too).
Once I "removed it from the box", realized photography could be whatever I wanted it to be, and began looking for other modern photographers (they do exist) my world changed.
I love doing this. I get to become a part of your life during the best time of your life and give you the thing that will remind you of this awesomeness (and how hot you were), forever.
What I’m saying is…
Your photography is priceless,
so it better be good.
I get it. I get it big time.
